I was in Dublin Smithfield for the first time today and spent ages trying to find a car park. somehoe I got in to the cobbled area outside the IFC cinema and typical culchie could not get out. Three Gardai were on duty and I asked for help. The youngest Garda said "come with me and we will sort you out". He went into a shop got the key of a bollard and directed me to the car park near the tax office. His attitude was superb, he was humourous and absolutely marvellous as I had been driving in circles for 30 mins at least.
I didn't think to get his number but he was the younger of the three. Please pass on my thanks, his customer service is a credit to the force.
Thank You,
